Difference between Greek Yogurt and regular yogurt

  1. The difference between Greek yogurt and regular yogurt is amount of whey content.
  2. Greek yogurt is made by straining the regular yogurt at least three times to remove the whey which makes the Greek yogurt thicker and creamier.
  3. Unlike Greek yogurt the regular yogurt has a runny texture and less tangy.
  4. Regular yogurt it's strained either once or twice or not at all.
  5. Greek yogurt has ore protein, less carbohydrate, sodium, sugar and calcium.
  6. Regular yogurt has less protei, more carbohydrate, sodium sugar and calcium.
  7. For the calories Greek yogurt is plain, non-fat versions have similar calorie count per serving. Calories also vary by brand, portion size and the ingredients.
  8. And of course the Greek yogurt costs more than regular yogurts.
