- The difference between Greek yogurt and regular yogurt is amount of whey
content.
- Greek yogurt is made by straining the regular yogurt at least
three times to remove the whey which makes the Greek yogurt thicker
and creamier.
- Unlike Greek yogurt the regular yogurt has a runny texture and less tangy.
- Regular yogurt it's strained either once or twice or not at all.
- Greek yogurt has ore protein, less carbohydrate, sodium, sugar and calcium.
- Regular yogurt has less protei, more carbohydrate, sodium sugar and calcium.
- For the calories Greek yogurt is plain, non-fat versions have similar calorie count per serving. Calories also vary by brand, portion size and the ingredients.
- And of course the Greek yogurt costs more than regular yogurts.
